Suspicious male update – C14-80030
As previously released on April 21, 2014 at approximately 12:35 p.m., a 7 year-old male was walking home in the area of Euclid Avenue and Hallet Street when he was confronted by an unknown male offering him money. No contact was made.
 
The 7 year-old male ran back to his school nearby and notified an adult who in turn contacted police.
 
The incident was reported in the media and as a result a second report has been received by the Service.
 
A 12 year-old female advised that on the same date (April 21, 2014) at approximately 4:30 p.m. she was near the intersection of Higgins Avenue and Main Street when a vehicle stopped and the male driver asked if she needed a ride.  The girl did not respond, ran and notified a parent.
 
The suspect and vehicle description are similar to the one originally provided:
 
Male
Black
40-45 years-old
Medium length black hair – the suspect continuously brushed his hair out of his eyes.
Moustache
Wearing: a black hoody
 
He was last seen driving a:
Black truck
Dirty tires
Open box which appeared newer
 
Members of the Division 13 Crime Unit continue with the investigation.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2848 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
Medic – C14-82905
On April 24, 2014 at 10:30 p.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the 1100 block of Mountain Avenue for a medic call.
 
Upon arrival a 58 year old male was located outside the residence and transported to hospital in critical condition where he later passed away.
 
The cause of death has not yet been determined and his name is not being released at this time.
 
The investigation is continuing by District 3 members.
