Winnipeg Police Service News Release

ROBBERY INVESTIGATIONS- ARRESTS          C12-51647
Between the late evening hours on March 21st, 2012 and the early morning hours of March 22nd, 2012, Winnipeg Police Service members responded to three separate strong-arm robbery incidents within the Division 13 area where personal property was stolen from victims.   
 
-       At approximately 1:00 a.m. in the area of McGregor Avenue and Selkirk Street a 20 year old male victim was approached by suspects who were armed with bear spray.
 
-       At approximately 3:50 a.m. in the area of Parr Street and Selkirk Avenue a 41 year old male riding his bike was approached suspects and a knife was produced. 
 
-       At approximately 4:45 a.m., in the area of McGregor Street and Pritchard Avenue an unknown victim was approached by suspect armed with a baseball bat. A verbal argument ensued and the victim fled the area and immediately notified police. No property was obtained.
 
No injuries were sustained by any of the above victims.
 
Patrolling officers responded to the area and observed the suspects. After a brief foot chase all suspects were located and taken into custody without incident in the area of Flora Avenue and McGregor Street.
 
Two females, aged 14 and 20 years as well as 18 year old male are facing a number of charges including: 
 
-           Assault
-           Utter Threats
-           Robbery with weapon
-           Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
-           Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
-           Possess of weapon for a dangerous purpose x 3
 
The 18 year old male has been detained in custody and the two females were released to appear in court at a later date. 
 
This investigation is continuing.

LOST- POLICE ISSUED MAGAZINE AND AMMUNITION
On March 21st, 2012 during the course of an officer's duties, a magazine clip containing ammunition was lost within the North End area of the city.   
 
The plastic magazine clip is black in colour and contains 14 rounds of ammunition.
 
Efforts are continuing to locate the magazine. 
 
If anyone locates the magazine, it can be turned into any police station or service centre.
