Winnipeg Police Service News Release

Saturday, March 24th, 2012     HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION            C12-53287 On Saturday, March 24th, 2012 at approximately 10:50 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service uniform members were dispatched to an apartment complex within the 1200 block of Jefferson Avenue to check on the well-being of a resident.    Upon arrival officers entered the secured suite and located two deceased individuals.   This investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit.    The investigation is in the early stages.  Information will be provided as it becomes available.      MISSING PERSON- HANK LECOY   R12-27722 The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating a missing 54 year old male, Hank LECOY.   LECOY was last seen at approximately 5:00 p.m. on March 23rd, 2012 in the area of William Avenue and Sherbrook Street.          LECOY is described as Aboriginal, fair complexion, 5'4" tall, approximately 150 pounds with a small build and brown hair. LECOY was last seen wearing a pale yellow button up long sleeve shirt, black leather bomber style jacket, baggy grey pants.      Investigators are concerned for his well being.  Anyone with information regarding LECOY's whereabouts is asked to contact police at 986-6222.       For further information contact either: Constable Natalie Aitken, Public Information Officer Constable Jason Michalyshen, Public Information Officer Office: (204)986-3061 Fax: (204) 986-3267 Email: WPS-PIO@Winnipeg.ca   Web: www.winnipeg.ca/Police
