SERIOUS ASSAULT – ARREST                    C11-242376
 
On November 18, 2011 at approximately 11:30PM, members of The Winnipeg Police Service attended to a convenience store in the 600 block of Ellice Avenue as a result of a call for service in regards to a serious assault.
 
Upon attending, police members located an adult male suffering from serious injuries to his upper body. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition, and later upgraded to stable condition.
 
The Winnipeg Police Service K9 unit attended and tracked the suspect to a residence in the 600 block of Maryland Street where he was subsequently arrested.
 
As a result of the investigation conducted by Division 11 Detectives, Donald Thomas Sinclair, 25 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Aggravated Assault.
 
Sinclair was later detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
 
ASSAULT WITH WEAPON – ARREST                C11-241716
 
On November 18, 2011 at approximately 1:00AM, members of the Winnipeg Police Service attended to a residence in the 400 block of Qu'Appelle Avenue in regards to a male that had been stabbed.
 
Upon attending, an adult male was located suffering from multiple wounds to his upper and lower body. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition, and later upgraded to stable condition.
 
As a result of the investigation conducted by members of Division 11 General Patrol, on November 19, 2011 at approximately 10:30PM, the accused was arrested at his residence.
 
William Winston Ironstand, 45 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Aggravated Assault and has been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
