Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011 SHOTS FIRED C11-230344 On November 1st, 2011, at approximately 7:20 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the sound of shots in the area of the 100 block of Furby Street. The investigation has revealed that three adult males were present within the home when they heard a noise outside the residence. A short time later, one of the males went outside and observed damage to the door, consistent to a firearm discharge. Police had already been summoned by neighbours who previously heard the sound of shots in the area. Attending member's located evidence to support a firearm discharge took place, including damage to the home. No injuries have been reported. No arrests have been made at this time, however members of the Major Crimes Unit are continuing with the investigation. COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C11-230504 On November 2nd, 2011, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Uniform members responded to a commercial robbery incident at a beer vendor located in the 500 block of Dale Boulevard. Investigators have learned that a lone male suspect, while concealing his identity and armed with a knife, entered the vendor and confronted a 21 year old male employee. Money was demanded from the till and an undisclosed amount was taken by the suspect. The employee was not injured during the incident and the suspect eventually fled the area. The suspect is described as: Male, Aboriginal in appearance, 6'0" 6'1" tall, skinny build, clean shaven, brown eyes and in possession of a knife.
