STABBING C11-140515
On July 5th, 2011 at approximately 8:40 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence in the first 100 block of Kairistine Lane regarding a stabbing incident.
 
It has since been determined that a 15 year old male in the company of a 14 year old female were approached by two male suspects while attending a park in the area. An argument ensued between the group at which time the suspects produced knives and proceeded to stab the 15 year old male to the upper body. The suspects subsequently fled the area.
 
The victim was assisted by friends and taken home where emergency services were notified. He was conveyed to hospital in critical condition, but later upgraded to stable condition.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the District 3 Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact investigators at 986-2848 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
