STRONG ARM ROBBERY – UPDATE C10-267230
As previously released, on November 22, 2010 at approximately 11:45 a.m. a 53 year old male victim was walking westbound on McDermot Avenue approaching Sherbrook Street when he was confronted by two male suspects.
 
One of the suspects, believed to be armed with a weapon demanded money from the victim. When the victim advised that he did not have any money, one of the suspects kicked him in the lower body and proceeded to steal a ring that the victim was wearing as well as a bag containing various medications.  
 
The suspects then fled the area and police were notified. The male victim received medical treatment for minor injuries.
 
Suspect Male #1: Black, 21 to 23 years, 5'10" tall with a skinny build, short black hair and a slight moustache. The suspect was wearing a red and black checked jacket.
 
Suspect Male #2: Aboriginal in appearance, 28 to 31years, 6'3"-6'4" tall, with a heavy build. He was wearing a black hat, jeans and a grey jacket.

                        
           
The Grey Cup ring is described as; gold in colour with a diamond on the top and a blue background. Inscribed on the ring is "score 47-17, Number 30, Position FB."
 
This investigation is continuing by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the suspect(s) is asked to contact police at 986-6668 or CrimeStoppers 786-TIPS (8477).
 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C11-12518
On January 18, 2011 at approximately 11:00 a.m., uniform members responded to a robbery at a drug store located in the 200 block of Henderson Highway.
 
Investigators have learned that a lone male suspect concealing his identity entered the business and attended to the service counter. A 20 year old female employee attempted to assist the male when he forced his way behind the counter. A physical altercation began involving the suspect and two other store employees, a 55 year old female and 54 year old male. Both employees were physically assaulted as a result of the incident.
 
The suspect is described as: Male, Caucasian, 6'0" in height with and average build
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact investigators at 986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C11-12961
On January 18, 2011 at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a business in the 200 block of Regent Avenue West regarding a commercial robbery.
 
A lone male suspect entered the business, produced a knife and demanded that the cash till be opened. A 26 year old female employee complied with the demands and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
 
The suspect is described as follows: Male, Caucasian, between 5'10" & 5'11" in height, medium build and approximately 160 lbs.
 
No one was injured.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact investigators at 986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
