Monday, December 10, 2012 **Please note corrected data in bold** FESTIVE SEASON CHECKSTOP PROGRAM - WEEK #1 RESULTS The Winnipeg Police Service Central Traffic Unit has provided the results from the first week of the Festive Season Check Stop Program.    767 - Vehicles were stopped 7 - Approved Screening Device (ASD) tests were administered 3 - 24 hour suspensions were issued (ASD Warns) 8 - Drive Impaired/Over/Refusal Charges 34 - Traffic related Provincial Offence Notices (PON) were issued 5 - Suspended drivers 1 - Warrant was executed 1 - Person was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act (IPDA)   For further information contact either: Constable Jason Michalyshen, Public Information Officer Constable Eric Hofley, Public Information Officer Office: (204)986-3061 Fax: (204) 986-3267 Email: WPS-PIO@Winnipeg.ca   Web: www.winnipeg.ca/Police
