WINNIPEG POLICE SERVICE ANNUAL STRATEGIC PLAN AND REPORT CARD RELEASED
 
On Tuesday, May 19th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Councillor Scott Gillingham, Chair of the Winnipeg Police Board will joined by Chief Devon Clunis of the Winnipeg Police Service in announcing the 2015 – 2019 Winnipeg Police Service Strategic Plan. The announcement will take place in the Winnipeg City Hall court yard.
 
This new Strategic Plan is the first to be developed jointly by the Winnipeg Police Board and the Service and is based on community input. This event will also include closing of the Service's previous strategic plan with the release of 2014 Report Card. The 2014 Report Card tracks the Service's progress towards the goals identified in the previous Strategic Plan.
 
With the conclusion of the 2012 – 2014 Strategic Plan, we are proud to unveil the new five year Strategic Plan 2015 – 2019, A Culture of Safety for All.

The Winnipeg Police Board will be holding public consultation meetings between May 25 and June 22.  There will be a meeting in each of the city's four police districts and additional meetings to hear from and strengthen relationships with the city's newcomer and Indigenous communities.  Chief Clunis and members of the Winnipeg Police Service will be attending each of the meetings to hear from citizens. Feedback received at the meetings will inform the Board and the Service as they continue their work on the strategic plan later in 2015.
