Arson Investigation – C15-94661
On May 10, 2015, shortly after 11:10 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were on patrol in the 500 block of Bannatyne Avenue when they, along with area residents, observed smoke coming from a vacant apartment block. Members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service attended and were able to bring the fire under control. There were no reports of any injuries and damage is estimated at 2.4 million dollars.
 
An investigation was undertaken by the Office of the Fire Commissioner which has concluded that the fire was the result of Arson.
 
The investigation is now continuing by members of the Arson Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6813 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
 

Indecent Act – C15-97186
On May 13, 2015, at approximately 5:50 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of an indecent act which had occurred approximately 10 minutes earlier on the Assiniboine Park footbridge at Portage Avenue and Overdale Street.
 
An adult female reported that she was out for a run and was crossing the bridge when a male approaching from the opposite direction exposed himself to her.

The suspect was described as: while male, mid to late twenties, approximately 160 pounds, 5'7" in height, unshaven, wearing a dark grey hoodie, wide-leg baggy skater style jeans.
