Stabbing Arrest Update – C15-93627
As previously released, on May 9, 2015, shortly after 4:30 a.m. Winnipeg Police members were dispatched to the Concordia Hospital for the report of a male stabbed.  Shortly thereafter, a second call was received for an injured male in the 900 block of Norwich Avenue.
 
Officers attending to Concordia Hospital learned that an 18-year-old male, stabbed in the upper body, had been brought in by friends.  He is currently listed in stable condition.
 
Officers attending to the Norwich address located a 16-year-old male suffering from a non-life threatening injury.  He was transported to hospital in stable condition.
 
It was learned that both males had been at a house party in the 1st 100 block of Perry Bay where they were assaulted by a known male armed with a weapon.
 
The investigation continued by members of the East District Crime Unit who located and arrested the suspect without incident.
 
Ayden Jonah Darren BUSHIE, 18 years of Winnipeghas been charged with Aggravated Assault and Assault with a Weapon for his alleged involvement.
 
He was detained in custody.


Assault With A Weapon Arrests – C15-93521
On May 9, 2015, at approximately 1:00 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the 1500 block of Leila Avenue for the report of a damage call.  Information provided was that two males had broken a window and then fled.  Suspect descriptions were provided.  Further information provided indicated that during the incident a resident of the home had been injured.
 
Upon arrival, a 21-year-old male was found suffering from a wound to his upper extremities.  He was taken to hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
 
The two suspects were located in the area and arrested without incident.
 
Members of the District 3 Crime Unit continued with the investigation.  It was learned that the two males, unknown to the victim, had attended to a party at the residence.  The two were asked to leave and complied, only to return and cause damage to the home.  When confronted, one of the suspects produced a weapon which resulted in the resident being struck and injured.
 
Two 17 year old males of Winnipegare facing multiple charges for their alleged involvement.
 
One was detained in custody while the other was released via a Promise to Appear.
 
 
Shooting Investigation – C15-94466
On May 10, 2015, shortly before 2:00 a.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of Donald Street and Broadway for the report of two males shot.
 
Two adult males were located and found to be suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  One victim was struck in the upper body, while the second victim in the lower body.  Both were transported to hospital in stable condition.
 
No arrests have been made and no further information available at this time.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
Assault Investigation – C15-94496
On May 10, 2015, at approximately 3:15 a.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the 700 block of Main Street for the report of an injured male.
 
A 29-year-old male was located and found to be suffering from injuries sustained to the upper body.  He was transported to hospital in unstable condition.
 
No arrests have been made and no further information available at this time.
