Wednesday, July 16, 2014         Male Shot – C14-149401 On July 16, 2014 at approximately 1:40 a.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Manitoba Avenue regarding reports that a male had been shot.   Attending members located a 31 year-old male inside a residence with injuries consistent with being shot.   At this time, it has been determined that the victim was outside when an unknown male confronted him while in possession of a handgun. A firearm discharge occurred striking the victim. The suspect fled and the victim was transported to hospital in critical condition, he has since been upgraded to stable.   No arrest has been made at this time.   The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
