Monday, July 14, 2014       Sexual Assault Investigation – C14-147286 On July 13, 2014 at approximately 5:40 a.m., officers responded to a residence located in the Transcona area regarding the report of a serious sexual assault that had occurred an hour prior, involving a taxi cab driver.   Officers met with an adult female victim who advised that she had been out with friends at a nightclub located in the Windsor Park area on Elizabeth Road. After consuming alcohol, the victim left the club and while walking outside, she tripped on the sidewalk. It was at this time a male taxi cab driver assisted the victim and placed her into his cab.   The victim requested to be driven to a specified location when the driver began kissing her. The driver then drove the victim to the area of Day Street near Thom Avenue East when a serious sexual assault occurred.
