ROBBERY – ARRESTS   C14-48308
On March 7, 2014 at approximately 9:50 p.m., Patrol and Canine Unit members responded to a robbery incident involving a taxi cab and two male suspects.
 
The investigation has revealed that a taxi cab driver (58 year-old male) picked up two males in the area of the 300 block of Smith Street. After driving to the 400 block of Spence Street, the males refused to pay the fare. It was at this time the suspects became verbally aggressive. The suspects then began damaging the internal camera from within the cab before robbing the driver of an undisclosed amount of cash.
 
The suspects fled and police were notified.
 
Officers located and arrested both males in the area of Sargent Avenue and Spence Street at approximately 10:05 p.m.
 
Coty MORIN, 22 years-old and Vincent MORIN 28 years-old has been charged with the following due to their alleged involvement:
 
Coty MORIN – Robbery
 
Vincent MORIN – Robbery, Mischief under $5000.00 and Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance x 3
 
Both were remanded into custody.
