ROBBERY ARRESTS – C14-44722
On March 2, 2014 shortly after 7:00 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the area of The Forks for the report of a person having been robbed.
 
Officers met with the 31 year old victim who advised that he had been skiing on the river when he was confronted by three unknown males.  The suspects, one armed with a weapon, attempted to rob him of his wallet.  During the altercation the victim was stabbed in the upper body after which he was able to break free and flee to safety.
 
The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
 
The three accused were located in the area and arrested for their alleged involvement.
 
The investigation continued by members of the District 1 Crime Unit.
 
A 23 year old male from Winnipeg has been charged with Robbery and was detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
 
Two youths, 16 & 17 years of age from Winnipeg, are each facing a charge of Robbery.  Both were released via a Promise to Appear.
