SUDDEN DEATH INVESTIGATION   C14-60757
On March 25, 2014 at approximately 5:30 a.m., Patrol members and members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to the area of Maryland Street and Sargent Avenue regarding an individual, believed to be deceased, located in a transit shelter.
 
An adult male has been identified and confirmed deceased.
 
Officers remain in the area, which include members of the Forensic Identification Section. The circumstances are not confirmed at this time, however and autopsy is pending.
 
The investigation is on-going.  
 
 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY – ARREST   C14-58816
On March 22, 2014 at approximately 4:40 a.m., officers responded to a gas bar located in the 1300 block of McPhillips Street regarding a robbery incident that just occurred.
 
A lone male suspect entered the business and confronted a 20 year-old female employee. Cash was demanded and an undisclosed amount was obtained before the suspect fled.
 
The investigation continued and members of the Major Crimes Unit were notified.
 
On March 24, 2014 members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence on Langside Street regarding an unrelated matter. While present, officers recognized a male as being the suspect for the robbery. He was placed under arrest and processed further by Detectives.
 
Harold MACE, 33 years-old has been charged with the following due to his alleged involvement:
 
Robbery
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
 
He was remanded into custody.
