FRAUD ARRESTS – R14-20005
Recently, members of the Winnipeg Police Service Commercial Crime Unit became aware that a small group of individuals were present within the city with the aim of altering Point of Sale terminal Pin Pads to enable them to collect debit and credit card data and personal identification numbers (PINS).
.
As a result of their investigation, officers were able to identify two businesses that had had their Point of Sale terminals compromised.
 
On March 20, 2014 the following four individuals were located and arrested due to their alleged involvement.  Each has been charged with several offences.
 
Jatin AGNIHOTRI (m) 20 years of Brampton, Ontario
 
Adrian Adam PERON (m) 26 years of Etobicoke, Ontario
 
Pragash SEGATHEESAN (m) 24 years of Mississauga, Ontario
 
Rashma Kaur SIDHU (f) 20 years of Mississauga, Ontario
 
All four have been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
 
Anyone who believes they have been victimized in this fashion is asked to contact their financial institution.
