SHOTS FIRED – C13-045628
On Friday, March 8, 2013 at approximately 11:30 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the 1st 100 block of Worthington Avenue for the report of sounds of shots.
 
Responding officers located a residence with damage consistent with that as having come from a firearm.  No one was within the residence at the time of the incident.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
STRONGARM ROBBERY – C13-045990
On Saturday, March 9, 2013 at approximately 1:30 p.m. Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to a hotel in the 300 block of Ellice Avenue.
 
Attending members located a 31 year old un-cooperative male victim suffering a wound to the upper body consistent with having been stabbed.  He would only say that he had been assaulted nearby by several individuals who took his beer. 
 
The victim was transported to hospital where he was treated and later released.
 
The investigation is continuing.
