Update - Homicide Investigation Arrest –
C14-248705

As previously released - On November 21, 2014 at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers and other emergency personnel responded to a suite located in the 500 block of Victor Street regarding an injured female.
 
Beatrice Ann CRANE, 44 years-old of Winnipeg was located with serious injuries consistent with being stabbed and transported to hospital in critical condition. A short time later, while in hospital she was pronounced deceased.
 
Members of the Homicide Unit were notified and continued with the investigation.  It was learned that the victim and accused had been involved in a domestic dispute which escalated to the point where the accused armed him-self with a weapon and proceeded to stab the victim.
 
On March 23, 2015, a warrant of arrest for Manslaughter was obtained for Ronald Alvin THOMAS, 43 years.
 
At approximately 1:00 p.m. THOMAS was located and arrested without incident in the downtown area of Winnipeg for his alleged involvement.
 
He was detained in custody.
