Serious Assault Investigation – Public Assistance Required – C15-32525
On February 15, 2015 at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a fight incident that just occurred at a restaurant located in the 1400 block of Regent Avenue West.
 
It was reported that two males attended to the business and began causing a disturbance by harassing staff and customers. The suspects proceeded to verbally insult customers and eventually forced their way behind the counter where staff was working.
 
The suspects observed a male and female customer approach the service counter. It was at this time an argument erupted and one of the suspects took hold of a chair striking the 20-year-old female victim in the upper body. Due to the seriousness of the assault, the victim was rendered unconscious and the suspects fled the business.

The investigation is continuing by members of the East District Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
