Commercial Robbery Arrests – C15-47981
On February 16, 2015 at approximately 6:50 p.m., a convenience store located in the 500 block of London Street was robbed of cash and cigarettes. The suspects involved were armed at the time of the robbery and fled.
 
On March 9, 2015 at approximately 3:00 p.m., two suspects attended to a store located in the 600 block of Kildare Avenue East. One of the suspects waited outside while the other entered the business while concealing their identity. While armed with a pellet gun, money was demanded and an undisclosed amount was obtained.
 
The suspects fled and police were notified. The 40-year-old male victim pursued one of the suspects to the area of Wayoata Street and Ravelston Avenue East. With the assistance of an off-duty Corrections Officer, one of the suspects was taken into custody and turned over to attending WPS members.
 
The second suspect was located and arrested by East District Patrol members while in the area of the 800 block of Victoria Avenue East.
 
Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued the investigation.
 
Miles Victor PAYJACK, 18-years-oldhas been charged with the following due to his alleged involvement:
 
Armed Robbery using a Firearm x 2
Possession of a Weapon x 2
Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
Pointing a Firearm
Disguise with Intent x 2
Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
 
He was remanded into custody.
 
A 15-year-old male is facing the following charges:
 
Armed Robbery using a Firearm
Possession of a Weapon
Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
 
He was released on a Promise to Appear.
 
The investigation is continuing.
