Indecent Act - Update - Arrest - C15-24121

As previously released, on February 2, 2015, at approximately 6:40 p.m., a male suspect was observed entering a coffee shop located in the 1600 block of Kenaston Boulevard while exposing himself.
 
The male stood in line for a period of time while exposed; he placed an order and calmly left the business.
 
A short time later, officers responded to a second incident in the same area where a male was observed walking in a parking lot while exposing himself.
 
On February 19, 2015, a release was sent to the public in efforts to identify the suspect.
 
As a result of the continued investigation by the Sex Crimes Unit a suspect was identified.
 
On March 17, 2015, shortly before 3:45 p.m., a 44-year-old male was arrested in the Mandalay West area without incident.
 
He is facing three counts of Indecent Act and has been released to appear in court at a later date.
 
The Winnipeg Police Service would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance.
 
 
Financial Robbery - Update – Arrest - C15- 53937
As previously released, on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at approximately 1:40 p.m., Winnipeg Service Police Members responded to a bank in the 300 block of Broadway for the report of robbery that had just occurred.
 
Upon arrival officers learned that a suspect male had attended to a female teller, demanding money and indicated that he was armed.
 
The suspect was provided with an undisclosed amount of money before he fled.
 
As a result of the continued investigation by members of the Major Crimes Unit a suspect male was identified.
 
On Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at approximately 4:40 p.m., the suspect was located in the area of Cathedral Avenue and Charles Street, where he was taken into custody without incident.
 
As a result of his alleged involvement, William Joseph DUBOIS, 55 years of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

  • Robbery and
  • Fail to Comply with the Conditions of Undertaking

 
DUBOIS has been remanded into custody.
