Firearm Incident – Arrests – C15-49769

On March 11, 2015 at approximately 6:40 p.m., numerous police resources, including members of the Tactical Support Team responded to the 100 block of Beliveau Road regarding an unknown person shooting at youth playing soccer at a nearby field.

The investigation led officers to an upper suite of an apartment complex where two male youth were located and identified. It was determined that the suspects, while in possession of a Crossman BB Gun discharged several rounds in the direction of children playing nearby.

No one was struck or injured as a result.

The investigation continued by members of the East District Crime Unit.

The gun was seized and two 16-year-old males are facing the following charges:

Assault with a Weapon

Possession of a Weapon

Discharge Air Gun or Pistol with Intent

Both were released on a promise to appear.

 

Missing Person – Drew LEASK - R14-91860

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating a missing 16-year-old female, Drew LEASK.  She was last seen in the Central Park area of Winnipeg during the evening of March 10th, 2015. 

LEASK is described as an Aboriginal female, 5'7" tall, 130 lbs. and long brown hair.

 

 

Anyone with any information regarding her whereabouts is asked to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.
