Cadets Assist in Arrest of Two Robbery Suspects – C15-48268
On March 9, 2015 at approximately 11:10 p.m., two suspects confronted a 24-year-old male victim while in the area of Main Street and McDermot Avenue.
 
The suspects cornered the victim while armed with knives and began demanding cash and cellular device. While the victim was being robbed, Cadet Members observed the incident in progress and immediately intervened. The suspects fled and Police members were notified.
 
Both suspects were located a short time later in the area of Albert Street and Notre Dame Avenue and placed under arrest.
 
Members of the Division 11 Crime Unit were notified and continued to investigate.
 
Grant Miles KIRBY, 31-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with the following due to his alleged involvement:
 
Robbery
Possession of a Weapon
Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking
 
A 24-year-old male is facing the following charges:
 
Robbery
Possession of a Weapon
 
He was released on a promise to appear.
