VEHICLE ROBBERY – ARREST   C13-256474
On December 14, 2013 at 3:15 a.m., a 23 year-old female was approached by an unknown female requesting a cigarette. The 23 year-old told the unknown female that she did have cigarettes in her vehicle which was parked nearby on Hargrave Street.
 
The 23 year-old went back to her vehicle to retrieve a cigarette for the female and while seated in the driver's seat, she was confronted by an unknown male.
 
The male suspect took hold of the victim and proceeded to assault her multiple times to the upper body. Keys to the vehicle were eventually turned over, at which time the victim was assaulted again. The victim crawled out of the vehicle and the suspect drove off.
 
The victim was robbed of her 2004 Toyota Corolla and an undisclosed amount of cash.
 
The investigation continued by Patrol members resulting in the identification of a male suspect. Officers attended to the Hartford Street area where the stolen vehicle was located abandoned.
 
On December 14, 2013 at approximately 8:00 p.m., the male suspect was located at a residence and arrested.
 
Robert BOUSQUET, 26 years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with Robbery due to his alleged involvement.
 
He was detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
 
The investigation is continuing. 
 
 
ASSAULT PEACE OFFICERS – ARREST   C13-256940
On December 14, 2013 at approximately 9:15 p.m., two males attended to a residence located on Granville Avenue for unknown reasons and began causing a disturbance. The males proceeded to bang on the door of the home and yell out threats toward the occupants.  
 
The suspects eventually fled the area at which time members of the Flight Operations Unit (Air1) became involved. Air1 quickly made contact with the suspects and directed Patrol members to their location.
 
While taking the males into custody, one of the suspects resisted and became aggressive toward officers. The suspect attempted to assault an officer by grabbing at his neck area. This resulted in the officer subduing the male and securing him in handcuffs.
 
The suspect continued with his aggressive behaviour and began threatening to harm both members.
 
While exiting the cruiser car, the suspect attempted to harm the other officer by kicking in his direction.
 
Stephen JOE, 26 years-old of Winnipeghas been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre and charged with the following offences:
 
Assault Peace Officer x 2
Uttering Threats x 2
Resist Peace Officer
Fail to comply with Probation Order
