WELL-BEING INCIDENT                                           C13-252679
On December 9, 2013 shortly before 12:30 a.m. a 39 year female was driving in the area of Ashburn Street and Sargent Avenue when she came across an elderly male in distress. 
 
Upon stopping to check on this male, it became readily apparent that the 82 year old male was suffering from the effects of the extreme weather conditions.
 
Emergency Services Responders were summoned and the male was transported from the scene in unstable condition.  His condition was later upgraded.
 
The Winnipeg Police Service commends the quick actions of this female that stopped to assist.

The Winnipeg Police Service would like to ensure that everyone is safe during the cold winter months.  Anyone who observes a person who is improperly dressed for the weather, or who may appear to be in distress is asked to call police immediately.
