Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Wednesday, January 9, 2013       INDECENT ACT C13-005026 On January 8, 2013, members of the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of an indecent act that occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m. in the area of the 2300 block of Pembina Highway.   Officers met with a 27 year old female who advised that she was waiting in the area when she observed a male suspect attempting to get her attention. It was at this time the suspect exposed himself causing the victim to leave the area.   After the incident, the suspect was observed to enter a vehicle and drive southbound on Pembina Highway.   The suspect vehicle is described as a: blue, two door car; possibly a Honda Civic.   The suspect is described as: Male, darker complexion, 28 years of age, short brown hair, 5'5"-5'6" tall, wearing: a black jacket, and beige "Ecko" shoes.   The investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or further details regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at 204 986-6245 or Crime Stoppers at 204 786-TIPS (8477).     FINANCIAL ROBBERY C13-005218 On January 8, 2013 at approximately 4:15 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a bank located in the 800 block of Empress Street regarding a robbery incident involving a lone male suspect.   Officers met with a 49 year old female employee who had been confronted by the male. It was at this time the suspect demanded cash while indicating that he was in possession of a weapon.   The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured as a result of the incident.   The suspect is described as: Male, Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 40 years of age, slim build and clean shaven.   The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
