STABBING – C13-007457
On Friday, January 11, 2013 at approximately 7:45 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Furby Street for the report of a Stabbing that had occurred earlier that date.
 
Attending officers met with an 18 year old male who advised that at around 4:00 p.m. he had been in the area of Donald Street and Graham Avenue when he was assaulted by an unknown male.  The victim went to a residence where it was realized that medical attention was required.  The victim was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition.
 
The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 17-19 years of age with a thin build and short dark hair.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6668 or CrimeStoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477). 
 
 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY – C13-007644
On Saturday, January 12, 2013 at approximately 2:00 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to a convenience store in the 1000 block of Henderson Highway for the report of a Commercial Robbery.
 
It was learned that a male armed with a weapon approached the lone clerk, demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.  The suspect then fled the store on foot.  The employee was not hurt during the incident.
 
The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, approximately18-25 years of age, thin build with dark hair.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).

On Saturday, January 12, 2013 at approximately 4:30 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to a convenience store in the 1000 block of McPhillips Street for the report of a Commercial Robbery.
 
It was learned that a male armed with a weapon approached the lone clerk, demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cigarettes.  The suspect then fled the store on foot.  The employee was not hurt during the incident.
 
The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, approximately18-20 years of age with short, shaved black hair.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
