VEHICLE ROBBERY – C13-011841
On Friday, January 18, 2013 at approximately 8:00 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the 1st 100 block of Marlene Street for the report of a vehicle robbery that had just occurred.
 
Officers met with the 59 year old male victim who advised that he had been in his driveway scraping the windows of his vehicle when he was approached by a male asking for the time.  A second male stood nearby.  When the victim glanced down, the first male proceeded to assault him about the upper body.  The two suspects then stole the victim's vehicle. 
 
The victim later attended to hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
 
The first suspect is described as: Aboriginal, 5'10" in height, early 30s, 180-190 pounds, stocky build and no facial hair.  He was wearing a dark winter jacket.
 
The second suspect is described as: Aboriginal, 5'11" in height, early 30s, 200 pounds.  He was wearing a dark jacket.
 
The stolen vehicle is a 2004 Toyota Forerunner, 4 door, grey in colour and bearing Manitoba plate ERJ 910.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the East District Crime Unit.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-2857 or CrimeStoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
SUSPICIOUS MALE – C13-012320
On Friday, January 18, 2013 at approximately 11:00 p.m. officers were dispatched to take the report of a Suspicious Male.
 
Attending officers met with a 14 year old male who advised that at approximately 9:30 p.m. he had been waiting for a bus in the area of Main Street and James Avenue.  An unknown male pulled up in a vehicle, said that he was a friend of the complainant's mother and that he was to give him a ride.  The complainant, not recognizing the male immediately fled and contacted police.
 
The suspect is described as: possibly Caucasian with a slightly tanned complexion, 25 – 30 years of age, short/shaved hair, tear tattoo under left eye, facial hair running from ear to ear along the jaw bone/chin and a small patch of facial hair under his lower lip.  He was wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans.
 
The vehicle is described as a Pontiac Sunfire dark blue or black in colour.
