Homicide – Arrest C16-48077
As previously released, on March 8, 2016 at approximately 10:45 p.m. Winnipeg Police responded to an incident in the 100 block of Allenby Crescent regarding an injured male.

A 45 year old male was transported to hospital and subsequently pronounced deceased.

The deceased male has been identified as Frederick BIRD, 45, of Winnipeg.

As a result of an investigation by members of the Homicide Unit, Bernadette NEEPIN, 37, of Winnipeg has been charged with Second Degree Murder and detained in custody.


Male Wanted – Arrest C16-44956
As previously released, Winnipeg Police were seeking the public's assistance in locating Les MARACLE wanted for numerous violent offences.

On March 9, 2016 at approximately 2:45 p.m. Les MARACLE (a.k.a DUMAS), 32, of Winnipeg, was arrested without incident on the strength of 5 outstanding arrest warrants. He was subsequently detained in custody.


Commercial/Residential Break & Enter – Arrests C16-46800
On Wednesday, March 8, 2016, at approximately 12:30 a.m. Winnipeg Police general patrol officers attempted to pull over a vehicle in the 400 block of Henderson Highway. The vehicle failed to stop, and fled north of the City into the RM of East St. Paul where the vehicle was eventually abandoned.  With the assistance of both Air 1 and Street Crime units, two adult male suspects were arrested a short distance away.

The investigation continued by members of the East District Station Crime Unit and the suspects were subsequently linked to numerous commercial and residential break-ins in the East District area.

Alfred VIVIAN, 43, of Winnipeg was charged with the following offences:
-       Break and enter X 21
-       Theft of Motor Vehicle
-       Possess Goods Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
-       Fail to Comply – Recognizance
-       Dangerous Driving
-       Drive Disqualified
-       Flight from Police

Jacobb VIEVILLE, 24, of Winnipeg was charged with:
-       Break and enter X 9
-       Possess Goods Under $5,000

Both suspects were detained in custody.
