Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Friday, May 3, 2013 SEXUAL ASSAULT INVESTIGATION REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE– C13-60891 As previously released, on Monday, April 1, 2013 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to the 700 block of William Avenue for the report of a sexual assault that had occurred earlier that day.                                                    At that time officers met with an 18 year old female victim who advised that at approximately 1:00 a.m. she had been in the area of Flora Avenue and King Street when she met the male suspect.  The victim was driven a short distance away after which the suspect proceeded to commit a serious sexual assault upon her.   This investigation is continuing and the following suspect composite has been composed.  The Winnipeg Police Service is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect.     The suspect is described as: Caucasian, 50-60 years of age, tall with a heavy build and grey hair.     Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6245 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).   For further information contact either: Constable Jason Michalyshen, Public Information Officer Constable Eric Hofley, Public Information Officer Office: (204)986-3061 Fax: (204) 986-3267 Email: WPS-PIO@Winnipeg.ca   Web: www.winnipeg.ca/Police
