PERSON ROBBERY – C13-090181
On Monday, May 13, 2013 members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched for the report of a person robbery that had occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m.
 
Officers met with the 23 year old male victim who advised that he had been walking in the area of Strauss Drive and Moray Street when he was confronted by two male suspects, one armed with a weapon.
 
The suspects demanded and received personal property from the victim.  A motorist passing by stopped to assist the victim which resulted in the suspects fleeing on foot.
 
During the altercation the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.
 
Suspect #1 is described as: Caucasian, 20-23 years of age, 5'9"-5'10" in height, buzz cut dirty blonde hair, clean shaven with a skinny-medium build.
 
Suspect #2 is described as: Caucasian, approximately 25 years of age, 6'1" in height, brown hair, scruffy facial hair with an average build.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the District 2 Crime Unit.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-2877 or CrimeStoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
WEAPONS ARRESTS – C13-090521
On Monday, May 13, 2013 members of the Winnipeg Police Service District 3 Crimes Unit along with the assistance of District 2 & 3 Community Support Units, District 1Foot Patrol Unit, Tactical Support Unit and the Canine Unit executed a search warrant in the 400 block of Manitoba Avenue.
 
As a result, a firearm that had been reported stolen from a Winnipeg residence in October of 2012 was located and seized.
 
A 17 year old male of Winnipeg and 17 year old female of no fixed address have been charged with numerous firearms related offences.
 
Both were detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
