STOLEN VEHICLE ARRESTS R11-15622
On February 23, 2011, at approximately 2:10 a.m., Uniform members were dispatched to the area of the first 100 block of Ben Hewak Bay regarding a motor vehicle collision.
 
Upon arrival, officers observed that a previously stolen Subaru Outback had collided with a parked Volkswagon Golf. As a result of the collision, police were notified and several suspects fled the area on foot.
 
Due to the efforts of Uniform members, Canine Unit and the Stolen Auto Unit, four suspects were located and arrested in the area of the 300 block of Murray Avenue.
 
They are facing the following charges:
 
·        18 year old male – Theft Over $5000.00, Possession Break-in Instruments, Drive without a licence, Fail to remain at scene of accident.
·        18 year old male – Theft Over $5000.00.
·        16 year old male – Theft Over $5000.00.
·        14 year old male – Theft Over $5000.00, Fail to comply with conditions of an Undertaking.
 
The 14 year old has been detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre and the remaining individuals were released on a Promise to Appear.
