Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Wednesday, February 16, 2011     STABBING C11-32235 On February 16, 2011 at approximately 3:25 a.m., officers, including other emergency personnel responded to the area of Selkirk Avenue and Main Street regarding an injured male.   Attending members located a 24 year old male suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was conveyed to hospital in unstable condition, later upgraded to stable condition.   Passersby who assisted the victim and contacted police observed two people leaving the area. At this stage of the investigation, it is unclear as to their involvement. The two people leaving the area are described as follows:   1 – Male, long hair, wearing a red jacket and jeans.   2 – Female, long hair, white jacket and black pants.   The investigation is continuing by members of the District 3 Crime Unit.
