Monday, April 16, 2018 Robbery - Arrest: C18-71112 On April 8, 2018, at approximately 6:25 p.m., emergency services personnel responded to the report of an injured male in the area of Parr Street and Selkirk Avenue. General Patrol members and located a 50-year-old male with a stab wound to the upper body. He was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable. Officers learned that the victim was standing outside of his rental car in the area of Sargent Avenue and Lipton Street when he was approached by two people. One of the people produced a knife, pointed it at the victim and demanded a ride. In the vehicle, the same suspect sat behind the victim, continuing to threaten him with a knife, and directed him where to drive. The victim was ultimately directed to the back lane of Selkirk Avenue where the suspects demanded his money and car keys. When the victim advised that he did not have any money, one of the suspects slashed the victim in the chest with the knife. The victim was then forced to hand over his bank cards and pin numbers. The victim as released and the suspects fled with the vehicle. On April 13, 2018, at approximately 12:45 a.m., Air1 observed the stolen vehicle being driven erratically in the area of Parr Street and Mountain Avenue. The occupants fled the vehicle and general patrol and K9 members were directed to their location by Air1. Cody Henry BOUSQUET, a 27-year-old male, was arrested and has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order X3. Demaris Angel Rose FLETT, a 20-year-old female, was arrested and has been charged with Public Mischief, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 and Fail to Comply with Recognizance X2. Both were remanded into custody. On April 14, 2018, one of the suspects from the robbery was located and arrested. Barry Shane STEVENSON, a 30-year-old male, has been charged with Assault with a Weapon and Robbery. He was detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre. A second suspect remains outstanding. This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
