New Opportunities for Engagement with the City of Winnipeg

Accessibility and the New Vehicles for Hire By-law information session

You are invited to learn more about the Vehicles for Hire By-law and how the By-law relates to and regulates accessible vehicles for hire service at an information session co-hosted by the City of Winnipeg, the Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities, and Barrier Free Manitoba.

Date: Monday, April 23, 2018
Time: 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. 
Location: Carol Shields Auditorium, 2nd floor, Millennium Library, 251 Donald St.
Format: Presentation at 5 p.m., followed by question and answer.

Windsor Park Neighbourhood Parks workshop

Join us at a workshop on April 24 to provide feedback on redeveloping two parks in the Windsor Park neighbourhood: Agate Park and Durham Park. 

Date: Tuesday, April 24, 2018
Time: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Location: Windsor Park Library, community room, 1195 Archibald St.
Format: Brief presentation at 6 p.m., followed by table discussions

Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP. If you are unable to attend, let us know what you think through an online survey. The survey will be open from April 10 to May 1.

Waverley West 'B' Secondary Planning Process open house

You are invited to an open house on Wednesday, April 25 to view potential future plan concepts, speak with project team members, provide feedback, and ask questions about the project. This event will build on feedback gathered through landowner and stakeholder workshops held throughout winter 2017/2018.

Southwest Rapid Transitway (Stage 2) information session

Attend an information session to learn more about the 2018 construction activities as part of the Southwest Rapid Transitway (Stage 2) project. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the planned construction activities, schedule, and design for the project.

Time: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Location: Canad Inns Fort Garry, 1824 Pembina Hwy., Ambassador Room F (lower level)
Format:  Drop-in (come and go)

Ongoing Opportunities for Engagement with the City of Winnipeg

Adjustable bike lane curbs pilot

The City installed adjustable bike lane curbs in two locations to test installation methods, monitor maintenance, and assess the comfort level of users. For more information, to fill out a survey or to view a map of the changes online, please visit winnipeg.ca/walkbikeprojects and select an adjustable bike lane curbs project. The survey will be open for the duration of the pilot project.
