Homicide Investigation – Arrest: C17-180360
As previously released:
On August 13, 2017 at approximately 10:00 p.m., Winnipeg Police were alerted to the sounds of a possible assault in the 100 block of Killarney Ave. Upon arrival officers located a 29 year-old-male, unresponsive and not breathing. Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service attended and advised the male was deceased. 
   
The victim has been identified as Mustafa Peyawary, 29-years-old of Winnipeg.
Two suspects were identified, taken into custody, and later charged by the Homicide Unit:
Damir KULIC, 27-years-old of Vancouver, B.C
Ahamed Althaaf ISMAIL, 29-years-old of Edmonton
Both males have been charged with First Degree Murder and detained in custody.
   
The victim had signs of massive blunt force trauma to his body and it is believed that he was assaulted over an extended period of time.
   
Investigators from the Homicide Unit continued with their investigation and identified a third suspect as having involvement in the planning and organizing of the murder of Mustafa Peyarwary.
   
On January 10, 2018 a Canada Wide Warrant was issued for the suspect's arrest.
   
On January 10, 2018, with the assistance of the Vancouver Police Department Homicide Unit, the suspect was located in a residence in downtown Vancouver.
   
Aram SOROUSH, 25-years-old of Vancouver, BC has been arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder.
   
He was detained in B.C.
   
On January 12, 2018 investigators from the Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit attended to Vancouver and returned Soroush to Winnipeg. He has been detained in custody.
   
Update:
On February 1, 2018, as a result of the continuing investigation, members of the Homicide Unit have re-arrested Soroush. He has been charged with First Degree Murder and remains in custody.
