Wednesday, November 14th, 2012     THIRD ANNUAL WINNIPEG POLICE SERVICE/ BOSTON PIZZA "TIP A COP"   Today, November 14th, 2012, the Winnipeg Police Service Community Relations Unit in partnership with Boston Pizza will be holding its third annual "Tip a Cop" event.   Winnipeg Police Service members will be wearing their issued uniforms and acting as celebrity servers at all 9 Winnipeg area Boston Pizza Restaurants.  The event starts at 11:00 a.m. and will be concluded by 8:00 p.m.   The event is in support of the Inner City Youth Scholarship Fund, which provides Inner City Youth with the opportunity to pursue post-secondary education at the University of Winnipeg.  This event, along with the Winnipeg Police Community Challenge Golf Tournament has raised over $30,000.00.   Members of the Winnipeg Police Service including other participants will be in attendance and serving at all Boston Pizza locations throughout the day.    Members and participants will be available for media interviews at the City Place location as well the other restaurants throughout the city.   The Winnipeg Police Service would like to encourage members of the community to attend and support this very worthwhile cause.           For further information contact either: Constable Jason Michalyshen, Public Information Officer Constable Eric Hofley, Public Information Officer Office: (204)986-3061 Fax: (204) 986-3267 Email: WPS-PIO@Winnipeg.ca   Web: www.winnipeg.ca/Police
