Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Monday, November 19, 2012     FIREARM (FOUND/SEIZED) - ARREST C12-233271 On Sunday, November 18, 2012, at approximately 8:10 a.m. officers responded to the 500 block of William Avenue regarding the report of a firearm having been seen.   Attending members located a male in the area who matched the description provided by the complainant. The male was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm at which time he was arrested and taken into custody without incident.   A 15 year male is facing several firearms related charges along with Failure to comply with sentence x 2.   He has been detained in custody at the Manitoba Youth Centre.   For further information contact either: Constable Jason Michalyshen, Public Information Officer Constable Eric Hofley, Public Information Officer Office: (204)986-3061 Fax: (204) 986-3267 Email: WPS-PIO@Winnipeg.ca   Web: www.winnipeg.ca/Police
