Sunday, November 4, 2012 COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C12-223265 On Sunday, November 4, 2012 at approximately 1:50 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of the first 100 block of Alpine Avenue regarding a commercial robbery. Attending members learned that two males wearing a disguises and armed with weapons attended to a lounge where several patrons were in attendance. The suspects approached two female employees, ages 20 and 37 and demanded cash. The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash and deployed a noxious substance in the establishment before fleeing from location. The victims sustained minor irritation from the noxious substance.
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C12-223349 On Sunday, November 4 at approximately 3:50 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 1300 block of McPhillips Street regarding a commercial robbery of a gas bar. Investigation has revealed that a lone male, with identity concealed and brandishing a weapon, attended to the gas bar where he confronted a 23 year old male employee. The suspect demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes. The suspect then fled on foot. The employee was not injured during the incident. The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 20-25 years of age with a skinny build. The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
