AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – ARREST C12-224276
On November  5, 2012, at approximately 3:05 p.m., officers responded to the first 100 block of Marion Street regarding a stabbing incident.
 
Attending members located an injured 45 year old male who had already made his way to a nearby hospital.
 
The investigation has revealed that the victim had been walking in the area when he was confronted by an unknown male on a bike. The suspect bumped into the victim which resulted in a physical altercation between the two. The suspect then produced a weapon and stabbed the victim to the upper body. The victim is in stable condition.  
 
Officers located the suspect in the area a short time later and placed him under arrest.
 
An 18 year old male has been charged with the following: Aggravated Assault, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Failure to Comply with Sentence, Breach Probation.
 
He was detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.    
 
 
GROW OPERATION – ARREST R12-113986
On November 5, 2012, members of the Winnipeg Police Service Drug Unit/Green Team, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team and East District Uniform Patrol members, executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence located in the 200 block of Penfold Crescent.
 
A search of the residence revealed the following:
 
Over 575 Marihuana plants – estimated street value over $645,000.00
40 lbs. – dried Marihuana – estimated street value $120,000.00
Grow operation equipment - valued at $13,000.00
 
A 52 year old male was located inside the residence and arrested. He is facing the following charges: Production of Controlled Substance, Possessing Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Theft of Telecommunications – over.
 
He was released on a Promise to Appear. 
 
 
MALE WANTED – R12-116162
The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating a 28 year old male, Jamie Charles GRIEVES.
 
GRIEVESis currently wanted by police for Failing to Comply with a Recognizance Order.
 
He is described as: Aboriginal, 170 lbs., 5'11" tall, black hair, brown eyes and having a facial tattoo on his right cheekbone.  
 
   
                                                                                                                                                                
GRIEVES is not to be approached by members of the public. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact police at 204 986-6222.
