STRONGARM ROBBERY - ARRESTS    C12-68026
As previously reported, on Sunday, April 15th, 2012 Winnipeg Police Service responded to a number of robberies in the area of Ellice Ave. and Sherbrook St.
 
At approximately 4:30 a.m. two female victims were walking in the area when they were confronted by two female suspects on the street. One of the suspects produced a knife and demanded that the victims empty their pockets. The second suspect was also observed to be in possession of a knife. One victim received minor injuries.
 
At approximately 6:20 a.m. two adult females were in the same area and were confronted by two female suspects, one armed with a knife. One victim sustained minor injuries. The suspects fled the area.
 
At approximately 6:45 a.m. an adult female in the same area was also confronted by two female suspects, one armed with a knife. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. The suspects fled the area. The victim was able to direct police to a residence in the area where the two suspects were located.
 
 
A 22 year old female from Winnipeg has been charged with:
 
  • Robbery with Weapon x 3
  • Assault with Weapon
  • Aggravated Assault
 
She was remanded into custody. Similar charges against a second 29 year old female are pending.
