STABBING C12-73742
On April 24, 2012, at approximately 2:30 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service and other emergency personnel responded to the area of Notre Dame Avenue and Balmoral Street regarding a stabbing incident.
 
Medical personnel located an injured adult male lying in the roadway that was initially observed by a passerby. The victim appeared to have sustained injuries consistent with being stabbed.
 
Officers secured the area, however no arrests have been made at this time.
 
Members of the Winnipeg Police Service Division 11 Crime Unit with the assistance of the Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate.

STABBING C12-73380
On April 23, 2012, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers responded to back lane near the 500 block of Manitoba Avenue regarding an injured male.
 
The victim has been identified as a 15 year old male who has sustained multiple injuries consistent with being stabbed.
 
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 13 Crime Unit.

FIRE C12-73740
On April 24, 2012, at approximately 2:30 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a working fire in the area of the 600 block of McMillan Avenue.
 
No serious injuries have been reported.
 
Damage to two residences is estimated at $600,000.00 and $400,000.00. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
 
Members of the Arson Strike Force continue investigate.
 
 
PROJECT FLATLINED - UPDATE
On April 23, 2012, at approximately 5:30 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service located 34 year old, Adam Matthew WOOD in the Crestview area of the city.
 
He was arrested and has been charged with the following:
 
·        Participate in a Criminal Organization
·        Trafficking in Controlled Drug or Substance (Cocaine) x 5
·        Possess Proceeds of Crime
·        Commission of Offence for Criminal Organization
·        Fail to Comply with Condition Recognizance
 
He was detained.
 
 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY - ARRESTS C12-73060 C12-73724
As previously released, on April 23, 2012, at approximately 2:00 a.m., officers responded to a commercial robbery at a convenience store located in the 700 block of Mountain Avenue.
 
Attending members discovered that a lone male suspect entered the store and attended behind the till area. It was at this time the male began removing an undisclosed amount of cigarettes prior to fleeing. The suspect was not observed to be armed and no one was injured as a result. Two employees were present at the time, a 50 year old male and 61 year old female.
 
 
On April 24, 2012, at approximately 1:40 a.m., two armed suspects attended to the same convenience store while concealing their identity. The suspects confronted two employees and demanded cash and cigarettes. An undisclosed amount was obtained.
 
Upon exiting the business, the two suspects were observed by patrolling members of the Winnipeg Police Service. After a brief foot pursuit, both suspects were apprehended.
 
The investigation continued by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
 
An 18 year old male is facing numerous charges in relation to both incidents which include: Robbery with Weapon, Robbery and Disguise with Intent x 2, including numerous Failure to Comply.
 
A 20 year old male is facing the following charges regarding the most recent incident: Robbery with a Weapon, Disguise with Intent and Breach of Probation.    
 
Both were detained.
