Winnipeg Police Service News Release

THEFT INVESTIGATIONS              R12-31577 & R12-31884
The Winnipeg Police Service East District Crime Unit would like to alert the citizens of the Winnipeg of recent incidents of thefts of credit and debit cards that have occurred within grocery store parking lots within the 200 block of St. Anne's Road and the 1500 block of Regent Avenue West. 
 
During these incidents the female victims had just finished loading their groceries and had entered their vehicles when a female approached and knocked on their car window.  The suspect female who was carrying a map advised that she needed directions.   
 
After the interaction the victims discovered that their credit and debit cards had been removed from their purses that were within their vehicles. 
 
The suspect is described as: 
 
-       Female, Caucasian, 20 to 30 years of age, approximately 5'1" tall with a slim build, olive complexion and shoulder length hair.    
 
Anyone who has any information regarding these incidents or the suspect is asked to contact investigators from the East District Crime Unit at 204-986-2857 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
