Mischief Arrests – C15-26119
On February 6, 2015, at approximately 5:15 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to a business in the 2200 block of Logan Avenue for the report of vehicles having been damaged by two unknown males.
 
Several units, including Canine, were dispatched and after a lengthy track the two suspects were located and arrested without incident in the area of Ellington Street and Manitoba Avenue.
 
Members of the West District Crime Unit continued with the investigation.  It was revealed the two males were responsible for damages at three separate locations.  These include:
 
2200 block Logan Avenue – 6 vehicles broken into, property stolen from one
2100 block of Manitoba Avenue – vehicle damaged, garage broken into
100 block of Gainsborough Cove – garage broken into and property stolen
 
As a result of their alleged involvement, the two 18-year-old males of Winnipeg have been charged with several property related crimes and breach of court order.
 
Both were detained in custody.
 
 
Residential Break & Enter Arrests – C15-26382
At approximately 1:30 p.m. on February 6, 2015, the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of a residential break & enter that had just occurred.  Information provided was that a male had been seen entering a residence in the 200 block of Inglewood Street.
 
Multiple units attended and three suspects were located within the residence and arrested without incident.
 
Members of the West District Crime Unit continued with the investigation.  It was learned that prior to breaking into the residence, the three males had damaged the deck at the rear of the home and then used the broken pieces to break several windows.
 
Total damage is estimated at over $5000.00.
 
Two youths from Winnipeg, 13 & 16 years of age, are facing property related charges for their alleged involvement and were released via Promise to Appear.
 
For his alleged involvement, a 14-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with similar offences along with Failing to Comply with Undertaking.
 
He was detained in custody.
