Stabbing Investigation- C15-34535
On February 18, 2015, shortly before 4:45 a.m., Emergency Services Responders were summoned to a residence in the 2100 block of Gallagher Avenue for a fight. 
 
Upon arrival officers located a number of individuals within the residence. Two males were transported to the hospital.
 
Interviews are on-going. As this investigation is in the early stages, no further information is available at this time.
 
 
Vehicle Robbery- Arrest- C15-33798

On February 17, 2015, shortly before 3:10 a.m., an 18-year-old male entered a taxi-cab in the area of the 300 block of Toronto Street. The male immediately confronted the 32-year-old driver producing a knife and demanding the cab.
 
The driver exited the cab but managed to retrieve his keys before fleeing the area and notifying police.
 
The suspect male exited the cab and slashed two of the taxi's tires before fleeing the area.
 
Responding officers, with the assistance of a canine unit, located the suspect at a convenience store within the 800 block of Ellice Avenue where he was taken into custody without incident.
 
As a result of his alleged involvement, Kingston Leonard PAUL, 18 years, of Winnipeg, has been charged with Robbery and Mischief under $5000.
 
He has been remanded into custody. 
 
 
Stolen Vehicle- Arrest- C15-34102
On February 17, 2015, at approximately 2:00 p.m., patrolling officers observed a stolen truck being operated in the area of Valour Road and Notre Dame Avenue.  Police followed the vehicle and located the unoccupied truck in the rear lane of the 1200 block of Valour Road.
 
A canine unit attended and initiated a track to a nearby residence where a suspect male was taken into custody.
 
As a result of his alleged involvement, Maverick Rock WOODHOUSE, 22 years of Winnipeg, has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  • Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance
  • Public Mischief and
  • Driving while Disqualified

 

WOODHOUSE has been detained in custody.
