Update: Christopher BAUR Homicide Arrest

On January 29th, the Winnipeg Police Service again requested the public's assistance in locating 36-year-old Christophur BAUR, who was last seen in the area of Ellice Avenue and Wall Street during the evening of Saturday, January 3, 2015.
The Winnipeg Police Service had located BAUR's vehicle, a red 2007 Toyota Yaris, in the 800 Block of Manitoba Avenue.
Investigation by the Missing Persons Unit led to the belief that BAUR may have been the victim of foul play and the investigation was turned over to members of the Homicide Unit.
On February 15th investigators located and arrested a suspect in the 800 block of Magnus Avenue. Mr Baur's remains were discovered at the residence.
It was learned that on January 3rd BAUR had attended to the accused's residence where an altercation between the two occurred. During the altercation, the accused armed him-self with a weapon and struck the victim, knocking him unconscious. The victim succumbed to his injuries and the accused concealed his body at the residence.
James John MORRIS, 38 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Second Degree Murder for his alleged involvement.
He was detained in custody.
Homicide Arrest C15-32950
On February 15, 2015, shortly before 8:30 p.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the 300 block of Inkster Avenue for the report of a male shot.
An adult male was located suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was transported to hospital in critical condition where he later succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as Ralph Edward BOEHNLEIN, 54 years of Winnipeg.
Members of the Homicide Unit continued with the investigation. The investigation revealed that the shooting occurred within the residence following an argument. The accused was arrested a short time later in the 400 block of Aikins Street.
A 24-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with the following for his alleged involvement
- Second Degree Murder
- Identity Fraud Intent to Gain Advantage
- Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance
He was detained in custody.
