EAST DISTRICT Winnipeg E-Watch is an online tool created by the Winnipeg Police Service Crime Prevention Section.  This program is designed to alert you via email of recent crime activity in your community, and to provide you with timely crime prevention tips, tools and information. View recent Residential Break and Enters in your neighbourhood. View recent Stolen Vehicles in your neighbourhood. LINKS TO ADDITIONAL RESOURCES Search a Licence Plate to find out if it has been reported stolen. View current crime activity via the Winnipeg Police Service CrimeStat website. CRIME PREVENTION TIP  Warmer weather is finally here, that means yard work needs to be done.  Remember to KEEP YOUR FRONT DOOR LOCKED when doing work in the back.  DO NOT keep your overhead door open for long periods of time cause you do not want to advertise what you have inside.  Garage  break ins are very common so: Keep your overhead door remote with you when you exit your vehicle.  For those who have the remote programed in their vehicle (Newer models) change your code periodically.  Have your garage alarmed or at least have a sticker indicating that it is alarmed as this could prevent you from becoming a victim.       For further Crime Prevention information visit our website at http://www.winnipeg.ca/police/tblofcontents/crimeprevention.stm
