COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C13-66816
On April 10, 2013 at approximately 11:00 p.m., patrol units responded to the area of the 600 block of Westminster Avenue regarding the report of a robbery incident.
 
It was determined that a cab driver picked up two males in the area of the 200 block of Maryland Street when one of the males produced a knife. The suspects fled after robbing the 51 year old male driver of an undisclosed amount of cash.
 
No injuries were reported.
 
The suspects are described as: Male, Aboriginal in appearance, between 23-26 years of age.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204 786-TIPS (8477).
 

 

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C13-66874
On April 11, 2013 at approximately 12:30 a.m., patrol units responded to a robbery incident involving a cab driver while in the area of Cumberland Avenue and Langside Street.
 
The investigation has revealed that the 39 year old male driver picked up a male in the area of the 600 block of Furby Street. It was at this time the passenger produced a knife and confronted the driver. The driver attempted to protect himself, however while do so he sustained a non-life threatening injury.
 
The suspect fled the cab after robbing the victim with an undisclosed amount of cash and other personal belongings.
 
The suspect is described as: Male, Aboriginal in appearance, skinny build, approximately 25 years of age and clean shaven.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204 786-TIPS (8477).
