Wednesday, April 3, 2013 WINNIPEG POLICE SERVICE MEMBER CHARGED In October 2012 the Winnipeg Police Service Professional Standards Unit began a criminal investigation into the conduct of a Winnipeg Police Service member.   Following a lengthy investigation, and in consultation with Manitoba Justice, criminal charges have been laid against a member of the Winnipeg Police Service.   Sergeant Richard Sierhuis, 47 years, a twenty four year member, has been charged with Fraud Over $5000.00 X 7, Passing of Wares or Services, and Drive Unregistered Vehicle under the Highway Traffic Act.
